Introduced by Rep. John Espinoza (D) on June 19, 2008, to memorialize the United States Congress to do all it can to oppose construction in Ontario, Canada of a nuclear waste dump along the shores of Lake Huron and an oil refinery on the banks of the St. Clair River.
Referred to the House Great Lakes and Environment Committee on June 19, 2008.
1) It's not enough by changeagent on June 23, 2008 to stop refineries from being built in the US. Now they want to stop the Canadians too. Here's an idea John, how about you beg Marathon to build a refinery in your district? After all the unemployment rate is the highest in the nation, you can't even build a house because the Sanilac Environmental Health Department won't allow septic fields, you've tried to shut down waste management and you don't even get your printing done in your district because their are no union printers there. Good luck to the citizens of Sanilac and St. Clair counties, I feel for you! Reply
