1) On first response to Bill by Anonymous Citizen on November 13, 2008 A response like the first one deserves to be ignored. Intelligent responses are worthy of an ear.
Frankly, not enough information is available to support the schools implementing a new form of energy. Yes, the schools are struggling right now and to ask them to fund something other than education is poor timing. The bill is a good proposal but for a different time. I believe alternative energy is necessary, but it will take time for everyone to get on board. Our economy takes priority. Reply
2) Quit Chasing Rainbows by Anonymous Citizen on November 13, 2008 You guys are off your rockers. You seem to think that if you dictate it, it will work. Take your windmills and use them to learn that they don't work except when the wind is blowing. Start drilling and building more nuke plants.
This world ain't gonna run on unicorn farts and fairy dust just because you were told by some "green" idiot that it will. To steal a line form Sarah..."you folks need a little adult supervision". Reply
3) anonymous by Anonymous Citizen on November 12, 2008 While I think it is important to go green in our schools, how in the world do you think schools can afford an interest free loan when they are struggling to survive right now? Illinois has MaC Books in every grade level. How do we compete with that technology? I doubt you will get a lot of takers on this one. If the state is able to provide grants, maybe they should look at school funding first and really make education a priority. Reply
