If you people have that much extra money for this and other of your hair brained schemes to fleece us some more, why dont you fix the darned roads first and then throw the money back to the people who paid it? Like the taxpayers, including everyone that buys gasoline, diesel fuel etc?

Introduced in the House on October 15, 2008, to authorize the use of state road tax money for the Detroit "light rail" or streetcar system proposed by House Bill 6542. Specifically, the bill would require the annual executive budget to recommend a state subsidy to pay up to 75 percent of the operations revenue deficit of the Detroit "light rail" system proposed by House Bill 6542

The vote was 59 in favor, 42 opposed and 9 not voting
