1) It will take more . . . by Anonymous Citizen on August 21, 2008 If you really want to fix the roads, you have to support Right to Work legislation. As it stands now, Lansing can only use Union Labor to build just about anything and if not Union Labor then Lansign must pay Prevailaing Wages = to union wages. That means it costs Michigan taxpayers alot more to repair or build one mile of road, then other Right to Work states.
Lansings stinks, but remember the Unions are donating THOUSANDS of dollars to the Dem legislators each year - and they inturn push costs on to MICHIGAN TAXPAYERS. QUID-PRO-QUO. Reply
2) Yeah, Right!! by Anonymous Citizen on August 11, 2008 I do not understand why our leaders would want to impose more taxes on their residents, when the economy is at one of it's worst in years. this will be one of the poorest states, within a ten year period,,,,,
We need to live within our means. We have to do that in our personal budgets, and we need to "START" doing it in our Government budgets,, wake up and be responcible, and start policing wasted dollars in other programs. Reply
