Introduced by Rep. Gabe Leland (D) on July 23, 2008, to authorize counties to impose a county real estate transfer tax of up to 25 cents per $500 worth of property, for “road construction, public transportation, commuter rail service and landscape enhancements.” A vote of the people in the county would be required.

Wait a minute. I have seen houses going down the street before. If your house goes down the street you should be taxed for road improvements just like cars.
