Introduced by Rep. John Pastor (R) on June 19, 2008, to exempt a school from making up any hours of lost instruction time that are lost because the school has been vandalized. The bill amends the law that requires public schools to provide 1,098 hours of instruction each year.

Let's call this the Reward Vandalism bill! Students who vandalize schools will get time off -- and not have to make it up. What a great idea. How much do you think school vandalism will rise if this bill passes? Do you guys think at all before you propose legislation???

This is the way you spend your time in Lansing....it is just amazing as I read through some of these bills...government involved in areas they have no business being involved in.....its no wonder Michigan is continuing to go down the tubes
