1) Seriously? by Anonymous Citizen on May 27, 2008 Like the state of Michigan doesn't have enough problems trying to educate people- you want to limit who can get help to go to college? My brother-in-law has been a resident alien since he was 11. He is married with 4 children and is proud of his heritage and wants to maintain citizenship with his mother country. Does that mean he has less rights than anyone else in this state to obtain a college education to support his wife and 4 children whom are all citizens?
The legislature should be spending their time and efforts trying to create MORE ways to promote and ensure the RESIDENTS of Michigan can obtain college degrees to compete in the global environment- not LESS ways. Reply
