1) Plus by Anonymous Citizen on April 10, 2008 I would like to add this is gonna create more problems and hassales than it solves the mess we have now is because of everyones lack of boldness. I mean if it says sex offender they just rubber stamp no matter what and these laws are destoying way more families lives than it could even come close to saving. The lives of the very kids they are aiming to protect. They are not gonna find how much dammage these laws have done mentally to the spouses and children of these people until it is to late we will have a generation of kids with low self worth and self esteem for being ridiculed there whole life for something they didn't even have nothing to do with what a shame. 2) I really hope by Anonymous Citizen on April 10, 2008 I really hope they stop slaping out this feel good legislation.I mean I wish someone in Lansing would have the courage and intelligence to do some research and come up with some common sense legislation.I mean one time offenders who did something when they where young and drunk like tell a woman she had someting on her shirt and then when she leaned foward and they touched her breast.I mean granted this is wrong a people should be punished for crimes like this but I don't think it warrants a 25 year sentence of public humiliation and living, working, and schooling restrictions.I mean there theres has to be a appeals process and a tier system where the process entails honest evauluation I mean the guy above was slapped with a 4th degree csc and some 40 year old guy getting caught having oral pleasures with a 15 year old girl gets the same 4th degree csc obviously the first guy is a far less threat to society if any at all while the second guy should be kept tabs on for 10 years or so.But an evaluation system that involved more than just looking at the charge and looked at the person snd the nature of the crime to determine what if any placement he or she needs to be on the offenders list.
