Introduced by Rep. John Garfield (R) on February 19, 2008, to increase the minimum age for operation of a personal watercraft to 16. Currently, the minimum age is 14, and youth aged 12 and up may operate the craft if they’ve taken a state-approved safety course and are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
