Introduced by Sen. Roger Kahn (R) on February 13, 2008, to no longer use state agencies (and money) to enforce the wetland land use regulations required by federal law, but instead leave this to federal authorities to enforce. Michigan is one of just two states that uses their own resources to enforce these federal regulations.

I would strongly encourge the Michigan representatives to pass this bill as soon as possible. The DEQ is one of the major reasons we do not have economic growth and development in Michigan.I and many otherpeople I know have experienced first hand the totally unnecessary roadblocks they throw up when anything constructive is proposed.
