wake up? Keep government out of these decisions and let the marketplace set the rules and everyone would be better off.

The US Congress should raise the CAFE standards. It would eventually be good for the auto industry, as they appear not ready to accept the fact without government intervention that we must conserve energy in our goal of becoming less energy dependent on foreign sources.
