Introduced by Sen. Liz Brater (D) on January 10, 2007, to prohibit sentencing an individual convicted as a juvenile to imprisonment for life without the possibility of parole. This is the maximum penalty in Michigan law and is only imposed for the most serious crimes of violence.

deny judges the ability to sentence the most heinous criminals to life without parole.

this is TAKING AWAY from the strength of punishment in this state, and coddling criminals.

this woman is SOFT ON CRIME and SOFT ON CRIMINALS.
