• Introduced by Sen. Ray Basham (D) on November 8, 2007, to give the Michigan Economic Development Authority and the state Tax Commission the power to grant neighborhood enterprise zone status to a development or areas it determines, which means homes in the zone would be subject to lower property taxes than the amounts levied on houses located elsewhere.
