Every good teacher out there knows students have to engage with content to learn and appreciate it. State testing is a way to show students the importance our legislators place on social studies. Unless you get rid of ALL testing, leave social studies a part of it.

Great Idea, eliminate, eliminate, eliminate. Maby students would engage in the subject matter if they didn't have mindless details cramed down their throat in an effort to "pass a test"
