Introduced by Sen. John Gleason (D) on September 17, 2007, to increase the state income tax rate from 3.9 percent to 4.4 percent, and raise the personal exemption from $2,500 to $3,400.

You politicians always raise my taxes and take more of my hard earned money to pay for your bloated, unequal socialistic programs. Why don't you pay for those socialistic programs your selfs. You politicians can raise all that money for your political campaigns, raise the money for YOUR socialistic programs. LEAVE ME OUT OF IT!!!

I think the legislature is really missing the revenue boat. Why keep playing around with the peanuts brought in by an insignificant increase in the income tax. The big money looks to be made by placing a moving tax on families heading out of state. Actually, the two could really work hand in hand. Keep raising taxes on income, services and business, and then sock it to them as they are leaving. Kind of like a death tax.
