• Introduced by Sen. Deborah Cherry (D) on September 11, 2007, to revise the definition of the health care facilities covered under the state law that extends “whistleblower” protections to workers who report unsafe conditions. The bill would substitute the broad term “health services employer” for the various specific facilities now listed in the law (such as hospitals).
