Introduced by Sen. Jason Allen (R) on July 26, 2007, to revise a law that requires the Liquor Control Commission to grant a package beer and wine license to gas stations in small towns in small counties. The bill modestly increases the population thresholds.

how can a person who holds a liquor license SELL IT?

doesn't the state hold ownership and control of those licenses?

and why are so few licenses issued?

you would think that the more places selling more TAXABLE ITEMS would mean MORE TAX REVENUE, but obviously, the state of michigan doesn't think so.
