Introduced by Sen. Mark Schauer (D) on May 25, 2007, to impose a 20-cents per gallon tax on bottled drinking water bottled by a bottler located in Michigan. The tax would not apply to water bottled in another state.

3) Serious Stuff [by Anonymous Citizen on May 30, 2007] Another wonderful example of what a full time legislature does when the state is losing businesses and revenue at an alarming rate. They are in Lansing way to long when they start spewing ideas such as this. They have not grasped that governments produce zero revenue. They only transfer it from one group to another after they have taken their cut. They think they have a license to steal! Reply
