Introduced by Sen. Roger Kahn (R) on May 23, 2007, to require the Department of Community Health to create a web site listing the 150 most common drugs used by the state’s medical assistance program and certain other drugs; the “usual and customary” price paid under that medical assistance program; the location of a nearby pharmacy where a person who logs on to the web site can buy the drugs at that price; and other information related to drugs. Also, to require the department to maintain a toll-free telephone number that would give out information on government prescription drug subsidy and information programs.
