These zones include schools, day care facilities, sports stadiums or arenas, bars, bar/restaurants, places of worship, college dorms and classrooms, hospitals, casinos, entertainment facilities that hold more than 2,500, and courts.

HB 5969 would allow a temporary resident (less than six months) with a concealed pistol permit from another state to have a handgun in Michigan without obtaining the usual license.
