Introduced by Sen. Michelle McManus (R) on April 25, 2007, to require that applications for hunting, fishing, or fur harvester's licenses have a place where a person can also apply for voter registration.

Before popping off about the Democrats trying to recruit "slackers" to vote through bills like this, get your facts straight.

This bill's primary sponsor is Senator McManus, who is a Republican.

There are 10 co-sponsors in all. Nine are republicans; one is a Democrat.

This is a ridiculous bill, just like others that supposedly seek to simplify voter registration.

the dems/socialists/communists can't get "get the slackers to register" then they will fade into the sunset. We should be coming up with some sort of poll test. Or maybe we can get back to where only property owners can vote.

All the people that intend to vote are registered. Trying to get the slackers to register is silly. Of course democrats assume that more registration helps them. If people want to vote they take the time to register. It is that simple!
