Introduced by Sen. Jason Allen (R) on April 25, 2007, to establish that the leaseholders of land owned by a particular summer resort and assembly association are eligible for the Proposal A primary residence (homestead) property tax exemption for homeowners.

So the Senator from Traverse City wants to exempt summer homes from school taxes? But not everyone's summer home. Only those fortunate enough to be in "associations". That's good. That should only remove a few tens of millions from the school aid fund. Let's see if they're really serious about making cuts!
