Introduced by Sen. Ron Jelinek (R) on April 24, 2007, to waive the $10 “late fee” charged when a vehicle registration is renewed after the previous registration has expired, for vehicles on which the owner only has “comprehensive” insurance coverage (which covers incidents other than collision damage).
