Introduced by Sen. Cameron Brown (R) on March 20, 2007, to prohibit the research use of an embryo or fetus whose death was the result of a elective abortion. Research using tissue from a spontaneous or non-elective abortion would be allowed if the mother gives consent.
Referred to the Senate Health Policy Committee on March 20, 2007.
1) Shouldn't that be the choice of the WOMAN? Does a mainly male legislature by Anonymous Citizen on March 24, 2007 have the right to decide that? I think not. Stay out of the bedroom and doctor's office. Thank you. What year is this? GEEZ. Reply
2) I'm pro-lilfe by Anonymous Citizen on March 23, 2007 I believe in the protection of life of the unborn child. I believe in protecting the life of the mother as well.
This is ridiculous. It's punitive, and it will have no positive results. When a woman elects to have an abortion, her concern is ultimately not about donating the embryo to science. The genetic material is discarded, and nobody benefits except the abortive mother.
Let's go back to the drawing board and find other ways to reduce, prevent, and eliminate abortions. Reply
