Introduced by Sen. Bill Hardiman (R) on January 10, 2007, to require election campaign phone calls to voters to include disclosure of who is paying for the call, including whether the call is not authorized by a candidate. This would also apply to automated mass phone calls (“robocalls”).
Referred to the Senate Campaign & Election Oversight Committee on January 10, 2007.
1) Way to go! by Anonymous Citizen on January 15, 2007 That would be Senate Bill 3, it's proposed by the same person that did this bill. You also incorrectly spelled the word "onslaught". Reply
2) Missed the point by Anonymous Citizen on January 14, 2007 I have never heard so many people express the same sentiment amount anything as I heard regarding the onslot of unwanted campaign calls. Invade the news, the billboards, heaven knows the mail but leave my phone alone!
Who is paying for the call really isn't what most concerns me. It's that I am getting the call; that's what concerns me...and many others.
