Introduced by Sen. Ray Basham (D) on February 14, 2007, to revise an exemption for employees who work in an “executive, administrative, or professional capacity” in the law that makes it unlawful to employ a worker for less than a certain amount set by the state ("minimum wage"). The bill would make the exemption only apply to salaried employees who earn more than $1,923 per week.
