No it is not a law to leave a loaded firearm unattended or in reach of a minor. why don't you do your homework before you run off at the mouth. there is nothing worse than a no it all

2) i wonder if we can by Anonymous Citizen on February 25, 2007
impose the penalty on police officers in our schools with loaded firearms at waist level, in relatively UNSECURED HOLSTERS so the kids can reach them.
