We are in support of this resolution, since the National Animal Tagging initiative is also non-mandatory. We see no valid use for this requirement for our certified organic beef operation, which is a closed herd, with all animals ready for slaughter going directly to 2 certified processing plants .. and never to any live animal auction houses. We are not selling any live animals to any other farmer or homeowner.
Why do we need to tag our animals all of which are destined for organic slaughter in local processing plants? Merrill Clark Cassopolis, MI
