Introduced by Rep. Fred Miller (D) on September 5, 2007, to express the wish of the people of Michigan to erect a statue of Walter P. Reuther in place of the Zachariah Chandler statue in the National Statuary Hall Collection and to urge the Governor to establish a commission to carry out this replacement.

And some folks still think that there is no fat to cut out of the state. Why don't they put a statue of karl marx up? Ruether spent 6 months in moscow learning how to start and organize unions. I can't wait to get out of this socialist dump.

I'm a citizen of Michigan and I have no desire to spend a dime of my tax dollars on a statue of a communist thug. Ruther and his kind can shoulder the blame of many of Michigan's current economic problems.
