Introduced by Rep. John Garfield (R) on June 21, 2007, to prohibit local government and school millage authorizations with a duration of more than 10 years. This would require that voters reauthorize all local and school property taxes at least once every 10 years.

3) too short by Anonymous Citizen on June 27, 2007 How would a school or city do a bond for longer than 10 years if the millage was only for 10 years? Going for only 10 years really increases taxes. Try paying a 10 year mortgage on your house. Reply
