But you're simply wrong. Don't try to tell me what I think, would think or should think, please. I don't need your help on that score. You need to find a better argument, preferably facts-based.
The pertinent fact here is that I don't want my tax money spent this way -- especially, since a significant amount of the settlement money in the end most likely would go to groups like the Sierra Club. I am not a Sierra Club or Greenpeace contribitor, and don't want to be forced into becoming one.

This could cost you (and me) considerable tax dollars. You may think that's an OK way to spend tax money you have contributed. I don't think it's a good way to spend tax money I've added to the pot.
