Introduced by Rep. Barb Byrum (D) on May 9, 2007, to require government authorities determining whether to remove a child from his or her parents and place the child in foster care to give preference to a foster home that shares the same religion as the child's immediate family, especially if the family observes religious laws regarding food.

  - Reported in the House on June 13, 2007, with the recommendation that the substitute (H-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass.
- Substitute offered in the House on June 19, 2007, to replace the previous version of the bill with one that revises details but does not change the substance of the bill as previously described. The substitute passed by voice vote in the House on June 19, 2007.
Passed 106 to 1 in the House on June 20, 2007.

Religion is a part of childrens life, to use it to
get more reasons to help keep a child with family is input advance. Hopfully people will Not scream aboutseparation state,church stuff.
What is this ChildsRight move to help relatives andGranParents,get legislature to Revise Adoption Codes,that GranParent who adoptgranChild,shouldNOT cutor prohibit other granParents visit rights?
Someday,all legislature will be seniors,then theyd
wish,they would voted yes,to revise adoption codes

Mich.is discrimation on Adoption are close minded.
DirectAdopt shouldn't be only Adoption Rules,they do need to stepUP with other states have laws to Placement or adoption of child,prohibits visits,
EXCEPT an adoption of child by granParents.
hopfully Mich. will VOTE to include this new good
Revise Adoption Law, it does make common sense.

Maybe voters,n.c.ofGr.for childen rights,or aarp
will help push this very addon code needed.

Adoption Fraud,criminal charges against waiting Angel Adoption agency,boraggina+Beauwis defrauded
Many couples in Mich. NY>Calif.etc. all were promised wanting to adopt,payed money,fraud happens to innocent people. Heres a thought,Mich. gets mad at adoption fraud against proAdoptive couples. But when it comes to BirthParents who are Promised visits'photo's,statements,710.44,710.54 prohibitions considerations,Judges or appeal courts doNOT act to protect prents rights against FRAUD.Courts use excuse ,Mich. has No openAdoption
Laws but then LAWS are there against statements made to get parents sign consent. Ah thats Odd.
Questions are When it comes to ProAdoptive People
fraud its a federal money crime. but when birthParents get cheated out of rights ,Law turn back makes excuses to ignored the LAWS as Written.
Again Laws protect money,doNot follow laws for all

Religious as shared in childs immediate family. Give preference to placement. Then placement of child could not be solely denied in home just on Religion belief.
Well if immediate family has religion in their life,then it should be that hb 4735,4737 should be pass't to en sure the childs family stable unit is intact.The childs family should have rights to childs best interest as childs preference to be raised by family relatives first.Right to choose.
Also,Rep.Legislatures state specify placement with a relative should meet the childs developmental and emotional,physical needs,Now should all those points specify's be met in foster placement care people also? Foster care must MUST PROVE FITNESS.
If a child has had a loving bond,with relatives in
past or if parents sign child to relatives this
decision should not be interfered with by courts.
or by social workers,therapist false reports.
Best interest of child factors,pick a to z hold as
solid bond in family matters and social reality.
Foster Care jobs to help between hard decision of parents,courts,social services final word,are for those who have nothing more left,then foster care.
Adoption of child by relative should be given to first consideration before foster parenting people ,foster providers should Not have rights to get first pick of who they want or doNot want.
Thats like a pet store,which doggy in window game.
Where as relative care for child,blood related to
Children who are placement of relative grow up in
a more stable world,social calm,know bond of love.
Finally Legislature is doing positive for children
and here is another positive motive to help Mich.
children in Need. Move forward,grandparents who care for children,need help whom better to help these children then other side grandparents,as in
raising,finances,future of education,loving care.

Help future grow in children and grandparents life

Also i vote YES to following new provision as to-
Add on section to Adoption Laws,are being voted is
Adoption of grandchild by maternal or paternal 1st
degree grandparents,either side ,other shall have the right to continued bond visitation with child.
