Introduced by Rep. Marty Knollenberg (R) on March 29, 2007, to end the post-retirement health care insurance coverage provided to legislators. Under current law, former legislators who have served six years get full health coverage beginning at age 55.

Boy, I wish I had free medical after only 6 years on the job! Eliminating this would save the state lots of money.
