Amendment offered in the House on February 20, 2008, to establish that if passed the bill will go into effect on June 1, 2008, and to tie-bar the bill to House Bills 4425 to 4527, and 5568, meaning this bill cannot become law unless those ones do also. Those bills would amend various acts to ease the ability of ex-prisoners to obtain driver's licenses and state ID cards, and also would create a debit card by which former prisoners could access money left in their prisoner accounts. The amendment passed by voice vote in the House on February 20, 2008.
