Introduced by Rep. Kathleen Law (D) on March 14, 2007, to prohibit the manufacture or distribution of products containing decabromodiphenyl ethers (deca-BDEs), which are a commonly used flame retardant for electronics.

To the last comment, this lady is a scientist. And there is sound science that this chemical is not only harmful, but showing up in the bodies of our most vulnerable citizens-- babies.
