1) Helps those that only have P.O. boxes by Anonymous Citizen on February 14, 2007 This bill would allow voter registration cards to be sent to post office boxes when mail is not otherwise delivered to a physical address. Currently, the law only allows clerks to send the cards to the physical address where the voter lives, which may not have direct mail service. Voter registration forms already have a space for mailing addresses, but the law does not allow clerks to use them for mailing voter registration cards. Reply
2) what difference would by Anonymous Citizen on February 12, 2007 it make, except to force some people who use post office boxes to STOP using post office boxes.
the poll people don't check identification anyway, what difference does it make?
NONE, except to bend the people to the will of the government. Reply
3) But ... by Anonymous Citizen on February 12, 2007 I do not maintain a mail delivery box at my home (street) address. My mail deliveries go to a post office box. I've operated this way my entire adult life, including the entire 40 years I've lived and voted in Michigan. Being able to receive a voter registration card at a legitimate mailing address -- a PO Box -- is appropriate. Reply
