Introduced by Rep. Rick Jones (R) on May 31, 2006, to authorize an early retirement incentive for state employees whose age and years of employment add up to at least 80, who retire between before Sept. 30, 2010, and who make this election during a sign up "window" between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, 2007. The incentive would increase the multiplier used to calculate the retirement benefits of these employees from 1.5 percent to 1.75 percent, which would increase the cash portion of their pension benefits by 16.7 percent.
Referred to the House Senior Health, Security and Retirement Committee on May 31, 2006.

3) Say What? by Anonymous Citizen on June 23, 2006 "Then run your mouth about what state workers do or don't do - but first get your facts straight. As far as what private citizens are losing in their pensions well I guess you should have gone to work for the state"
The real workers can only support so much dead weight. Maybe you should try the real world.
Okay Mr. Genius State Employee, Who the heck do you think pays for you and all your bloated benefits? What exactly does the state produce or sell to make money to pay you? What is the profit margin in this imaginary state business?
We pay you Mr. Rocket Scientist.
It's OUR MONEY that you take every week.
You get OUR MONEY because the state forcibly removes it from OUR POCKETS.
" Ask a state police officer how hard they work the next time you break down on the highway."
Try to flag down a state cop the next time you break down..lotsa luck. They will turn their head as they go by. The only way you will interact with them is if you speed or do some other no no that the nanny state has determined qualifies you to provide MORE FUNDING for overpaid twits in the government employ.
"Start thinking about all the services you take for granted that the state government provides for you"
The state provides us with NOTHING! We pay for all services with OUR MONEY!
I think that you need to go back to school and take econ 101 except that the government schools won't teach you anything about how they can only spend OUR MONEY! Thats all they have. It's all OUR MONEY! Reply
