Introduced by Rep. Barb Vander Veen (R) on April 25, 2006, to include trees that are alongside or overhanging the roadway among the things that governments are not liable for under their duty to repair and maintain roads. This means a person could not sue a government for damages or injuries resulting from the presence of trees.
