• Introduced by Rep. John Stakoe (R) on February 23, 2006, to give local governments the authority to determine whether to allow jet skis, water skiing, or other activities on inland lakes, and to set limits on the number of boats on a lake. Current state law preempts local governments from regulating in this area without the approval of the state.
