2006 House Bill 5710

Remedy for Clark v. DaimlerChrysler anti-discrimination ruling

Introduced in the House

Feb. 16, 2006

Introduced by Rep. Andy Dillon (D-17)

To establish that an employer/employee agreement placing a time limitation of less than one year for the filing of an anti-discrimination lawsuit is not enforceable. The bill was introduced after the state Court of Appeals ruled in Clark v. DaimlerChrysler that such an agreement prohibited a lawsuit filed after the time limit specified within it.
