2006 House Bill 5676 (Allow peace officer to order inland lake raft removal )

Introduced by Rep. Lorence Wenke (R) on February 14, 2006, to allow a peace officer to order the removal of anchored rafts that present a hazard to navigation on inland lakes. Under current law only DNR officers can do this.

what is a peace officer doing out on the lake in the first place?

if he is called, why is he sent to "handle" a problem that he has no authority to handle?

seems somebody forgot to give the phone number to the wildlife guys to the dispatcher.
