Introduced by Sen. Gerald Van Woerkom (R) on March 17, 2005, to require that diesel fuel sold in Michigan include at least two percent biodiesel beginning in 2007, or when the production capacity in the state reaches a certain level specified in the bill. “Biodiesel" is a fuel for diesel-powered vehicles made from new and used vegetable oils and animal fats.
