Button cell battery would be exempt. The bill also defines "appliance" for purposes of exceptions to the mercury thermostat ban in Senate Bill 124. The definition would include a refrigerator, dehumidifier, freezer, oven, range, microwave oven, washer, dryer, dishwasher, trash compactor, window room air conditioner, television, or computer, but not a home heating or central air-conditioning system.
