Introduced by Rep. Bruce Caswell (R) on August 24, 2005, to allow a pharmacist to partially fill a prescription if the pharmacy does not have the entire quantity of the drug on hand. If the balance of the order can’t be filled within 72 hours the pharmacist would have to notify the customer, and the customer would need to get a new prescription from a doctor.
