2005 House Bill 4693 (Revise and lower vehicle registration fees )

Introduced by Rep. Leon Drolet (R) on April 28, 2005, to extend the license plate tab renewal period from one year to two years, and reduce the annualized registration fee by 10 percent. In other words, vehicle owners would renew every two years instead of every year, and would realize a net savings of 10 percent.

It would be ok but you should be payed a refund for the period of time if you sell the car and do not use the plate. The late fee is a bunch of .... If the car is not being driven is it a law that it has to be plated to sit in your garage?
