Reported in the House on November 9, 2005, without amendment and with the recommendation that the bill pass.
1) ARE THEY NUTS [by Anonymous Citizen on December 10, 2005] I AGREE WITH YOU. NOT ONLY DO THEY GIVE TAX BREAKS TO THE ONES THAT DON'T DESERVE IT, BUT THEY ALSO GIVE THEM MONEY TO FURTHER BREAK THE LAWS, THAT OUR STATE GOV. AND FEDERAL GOV. HAVE ON THE BOOKS. BILL OF RIGHTS, TITLE Vll, ETC.
JUST BECAUSE THESE COMPANIES SETTLE OUT OF COURT,
ANY COMPANY THAT PAYES MONEY BECAUSE OF LAWS BROKEN, SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED BEFORE GIVEN ANY GRANTS OR TAX PAYERS MONEY, TO IMPROVE THEIR OVER ALL JUSTIFICATION OF LOOKING GOOD TO ONLY THE POLITICAL PEOPLE, ON THE LOCAL LEVEL AND STATE AND SO ON SO FORTH. Reply
2) Outrageous [by Anonymous Citizen on December 10, 2005] Why is it that only public servants (government employees)get the best retirement and health care benefits? Most of them are part time already. Some, like teachers, have the whole summer off. It's time for a tax revolt! Reply
3) are they nuts [by Anonymous Citizen on December 10, 2005] I have always been a republican. But, when I see this kind of wasteful spending I have to wonder just why I am a republican. The state is broke. Taxes are way out of sight. Everyone in government says there is no money for the state to run on. Yet they keep on giving tax breaks to just about everyone but the tax payer. I don't know where this will ever stop, but I for one am thinking of leaving this state and let it go the same way Detroit is going, to the dogs. As an very old Queen said, let them eat cake. Reply
