2004 Senate Bill 954 (Allow electricity "net metering" )

  • Introduced by Sen. Cameron Brown on February 4, 2004, to allow and establish regulations for “net metering” by public electric utilities. “Net metering” applies to a customer who both generates some electricity which is fed back into the power grid, and also buys some power from the utility. The customer would then be billed for the amount of electricity that is purchased, minus the amount that is sold back.
