1) Changing fingerprints [by DJStuCrew on December 4, 2004] I am stunned. Why require new fingerprints for CPL renewals? Do fingerprints somehow CHANGE over the course of half a decade? What possible reason could there be? Doesn't the state want to POCKET the extra cash instead of spending it on fingerprinting licensees who already have prints on file? This is beyond annoying; it's fiscally irresponsible! Reply
2) Stripped is right! [by NSutliff on December 3, 2004] What happened to eliminating fingerprinting for renewals? This is a sell out. I'm losing faith fast in the people that are suppose to be representing me. This bill did nothing. The laws were there already to force counties to issue in a timely manner. They weren't enforced. So what do lawmakers do? Make another useless, unenforcible law. I'm disgusted!!! This law will never be enforced either. The county gun boards will just laugh in our face. You've accomplished nothing and let down all the CCW carriers in the state. Another step backwards. Reply
3) Good Bill [by Neva_Li on December 3, 2004] Glad to see this succeed. Now maybe the people in Wayne County and other deliberately "slow" counties will be able to protect themselves the way us "privileged" folks in Oakland County do.
Personally, I don't understand why Wayne County continues to be allowed to circumvent the law. It isn't its own state but no one seems interested in forcing the County to comply with State Law on Concealed Carry issues.
