To go from $5 to between $50-$800 is absurd. The legislators got us into this fiscal mess, and now they have no mercy in thrashing it out on the backs of the working people of this state.

This tax will be passed on to the consumer. Those who vote for this bill should let their constituents know that they are raising their taxes. Or their opponents should let the people know.

3) 2003 Senate Bill 386  by admin on January 1, 2001 
Introduced in the Senate on April 22, 2003, to increase the the license fee for livestock dealer to $50, $800 for livestock auction facilities, $500 for collection point/buying station facilities, and $300 for horse auction facilities. The current fee for all these is $5

The vote was 36 in favor, 2 opposed and 0 not voting
