  • Introduced by Sen. Hansen Clarke on March 19, 2003, the executive recommendation for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2003-2004 State Police budget. This appropriates $392.9 million in adjusted gross spending (funded from all sources, including state restricted fund and federal pass-through dollars, minus interdepartmental transfers), compared to $396.3 million, which was the FY 2002-2003 amount enrolled in 2002, excluding any supplemental appropriations, line-item vetoes, or later cuts. Of this, $231.2 million will come from the General Fund (funded by actual state tax revenues), compared to the FY 2002-2003 amount enrolled in 2002 of $287.0 million. The reduced general fund contribution in this budget is contingent on the adoption of a number of tax or fee increases, including a $12 hike in drivers license renewal fees. • Referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee on March 19, 2003.
